Environmentalism and Social Justice

Food for thought on systems and implications. I know sometimes it's hard to sit and watch vids, at least it is for me, but the impact of this one is at the end. It's worth the time spent.

  1. This is one of the most reasonable explanations of why we should think before we toss, that I have heard. Well worth listening to.

  2. ahh, Van is my Green Crush. He'll be here in Portland on Tuesday, I'm hoping I can cut outta work early to go see him speak.

if you haven't already, read "Ecopsychology" - it's incredible and has a phenomenal section on the equity issue when it comes to sustainability.

  3. He's wonderful, this was my first exposure to him. I haven't read Ecopsychology but I will put it on my Goodreads list and pick it up. Does it speak to Ecofeminism? I've read several articles on ecofeminism and I find the parallels very interesting.

Thanks for the recommendation, and I love your blog. :)

  4. @Aytch - if you want a good intro to him and American politics, research about how he was run out of the Obama admin. It's really quite something.
